Halloween 2014-2018
The occasional "Wind Down" is an important part of the culture at many companies, a chance to down tools at 4 and socialise with beer and pizza. At my last company the wind down would often have a theme, for instance a specific cuisine, sporting or cultural event. In 2014 I volunteered to produce an activity for Halloween, something which I then continued to do every year since.
Every event was a web based "adventure" for teams of 4 to 6 people. They are designed to take about an hour and a half to two hours and incorporate craft activities, quiz questions and lots of puzzles. All required that answers were submitted to a central scoreboard in the office so although teams were scattered around in their own areas there was a large amount of running around and interaction.
All events are archived here and linked on the right and although you will miss some of the in-office activities they are still playable as they stand. Have fun!

Arcade Machine Project
A couple of years ago, following the principle of "it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission", I started building my own arcade machine before my wife noticed. When I explained that it was a tabletop machine, and it would fit in my wardrobe, she reluctantly agreed.
The project build was based entirely on my own design, with the core mame emulator running on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+.

It is neater than it looks
Rainbow islands for the win
The machine was brought to a charity gameathon and helped raise over £3000 for Brighton Housing Trust
Events and Diversions
A variety of events that I have both created and organised, and things that help define me and what I love to do.
