Halloween 5 - Weekend Overtime - 2018

This was the final year I played with the concept of "shards" when designing the site. The scenario is based on the player returning to an empty office at the weekend at the start of a zombie apocalypse. I wanted players to navigate around the office opening up new options when various triggers had been activated.

There were 8 story triggers to pass before escaping, and at each event the navigation silently passed to a complete copy of the site with the next trigger event available. Additionally there was a secondary optional 3 step puzzle which sharded the entire site in another dimension.

To complicate matters further there was a "Towers of Hanoi" puzzle which consisted of 276 html files, one for each possible combination in the puzzle. This was replicated across all shards. In total there are over 7600 files.

This was really stupid! But surprisingly it worked.
